    About this piece

Meet the 12″ Olive Wood Artisan Circle Spoon — a beautifully balanced, hand-carved kitchen utensil shaped from sustainably sourced Mediterranean olive wood on the Greek island of Lesvos. The rounded artisan head is sized for soups, sauces, batters, and general cooking tasks, while the long, smooth handle balances comfortably in your hand for serving, mixing, stirring, and tasting alike. Smooth-sanded and finished with our care balm, it glides across non-stick cookware without scratching. Olive wood is naturally dense, water-resistant, and beautifully grained — every spoon carries its own swirl of honey, amber, and chocolate tones, so no two are alike. Each piece is carved by a refugee artisan rebuilding their life through fair, steady work. Buying one helps fund a livelihood, not just a sale.

    The story

This spoon began as a branch of a wild olive tree on the island of Lesvos — the same island where, a few years ago, our makers arrived by boat with little more than the clothes on their backs. Today carving olive wood into utensils signed by their hand and traceable back to the maker by QR code. When you cook with this spoon, you're holding a small piece of that story — Greek olive groves, refugee craftsmanship, and the slow, deliberate work of rebuilding a life one piece at a time.

    Frequently asked

Hand wash only, with mild soap and warm water — never soak or place in the dishwasher. Towel dry immediately and let it air dry fully before storing. Every 1–2 months (or whenever the wood looks dry), rub a thin coat of food-safe mineral oil or olive oil or care balm into the spoon with a soft cloth, let it absorb overnight, then wipe off any excess. With this simple ritual, your spoon will stay smooth, water-resistant, and beautiful for decades.

Each piece is carved one at a time from a single block of olive wood, so grain pattern, color and shape will vary slightly. That's part of what makes yours one of a kind.
