Our Mission

Together the impossible becomes possible

Did You Know...

that it takes an average of 10-20 years for a displaced person to become a contributing member in their community and economy?

By providing a means of income and vocational training, our goal is to reduce this time to 2-3 years!

Our Mission:

At Lesvos Woodcraft, our mission is to provide a sales platform for hand-carved spoons crafted by displaced individuals who have arrived in Greece, seeking to rebuild their lives in Europe.

Through this initiative, we aim to support their integration into Greek society by offering not only a means of income, but also language lessons and vocational training. Our goal is to empower these artisans, building together a future of hope, opportunity, and renewed faith.

Our Beginnings:

Lesvos Woodcraft was established in early 2024 with the mission of offering a broader resale market while also facilitating vocational training and sustainable income opportunities to displaced immigrants in Greece. Driven from their homes by conflict and economic hardship, these individuals now face the challenge of rebuilding their lives, and Lesvos Woodcraft seeks to empower them through skill development and meaningful work.

Our roots begin with an agricultural project that helps the displaced people raise food, learn agriculture, and earn a basic income. While the food provides immediate benefits to the local economy, it can't be shipped or sold in other parts of the world.

Lesvos Woodcraft was established to help widen the reach and produce long-term sustainable items. We ship the olive wood utensils in bulk to our United States warehouse, where they can then be sold and shipped throughout the United States.

When you purchase one of our spoons, you not only receive a beautiful one-of-a-kind art piece for your kitchen - you are helping change the life of a person living on Lesvos, Greece!
