1. Information we collect

We only collect what we need to run the store and the website. Depending on how you use the site, this may include:

• Account information. If you create an account or sign in, we store your email address and authentication details. Your password is handled securely by our authentication provider and is never visible to us.
• Order and customer details. When you place an order we collect your name, email address, phone number, and shipping and billing addresses, along with the items ordered and your order history.
• Payment information. Card payments are processed directly by our payment providers (Stripe and PayPal). We do not see or store your full card number. For certain accounts where a card is kept on file, we store only a secure token from Stripe plus the card brand, last four digits, and expiration date — never the full card number or security code.
• Coupons and gift cards. When you apply a discount code or buy, send, or redeem a gift card, we record that usage (including the recipient email for a gifted card) to apply the discount or balance and prevent misuse.
• Email signups. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address and, optionally, your name.
• Forms, reviews, and inquiries. If you contact us, submit a product review, or send a business-gifting or dealer inquiry, we collect the information you provide in those forms.
• Abandoned cart information. If you begin checkout and enter your email but don't complete the order, we may store your email and cart contents so we can send you a reminder.
• Usage, device, and traffic-source data. When you browse the site we automatically collect a randomly generated visitor and session identifier, pages viewed, clicks, scroll depth, time on page, device type, referring website, and marketing attribution parameters in your link (such as utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, and ad click identifiers like gclid and fbclid). Your IP address is used to derive approximate location and is stored only in a hashed (non-identifiable) form for analytics.

• To create and manage your account and let you sign in.
• To process, fulfill, and deliver your orders, and to handle returns, exchanges, and refunds.
• To process payments and, where you've authorized it, to charge a card kept on file.
• To send transactional messages such as order confirmations, shipping updates, payment notices, and receipts.
• To respond to your contact, gifting, dealer, and support inquiries.
• To send marketing emails when you've subscribed, and to measure how those campaigns perform.
• To apply coupons and gift cards and to detect and prevent fraud or abuse.
• To understand site traffic and improve our website, products, and marketing through analytics.
• To comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

3. Third-party services we share data with

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers we use to operate the store, and only as needed for them to perform their function:

• Stripe and PayPal — payment processing.
• ShipStation — order fulfillment and shipping, which receives the name, address, and order details needed to ship your package.
• Resend — delivery of transactional and account emails.
• MailerLite — management and delivery of marketing/newsletter emails (only if you subscribe).
• Google Analytics 4 — website analytics (see the Cookies and analytics section below).
• Lovable Cloud / Supabase — our hosting, database, authentication, and file storage infrastructure where your data is stored.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to enforce our terms, to prevent fraud or harm, or in connection with a business transfer such as a merger or sale of assets.

4. Cookies, analytics, and tracking

We use cookies and similar browser storage (including local and session storage) to keep your shopping cart and sign-in session working and to measure site usage. Specifically:

• Essential storage keeps your cart contents and your authenticated session active.
• First-party analytics stores a random visitor and session identifier in your browser to count visits and measure engagement. This data is tied to a random ID, not your name.
• Google Analytics 4 sets its own cookies to help us understand aggregate traffic and behavior. You can learn about Google's practices in the Google Privacy Policy, and you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
• Attribution data from your link (UTM tags and ad click identifiers) is stored briefly so we can understand which campaigns drive orders.

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies and clear site storage. Disabling essential storage may prevent the cart and checkout from working correctly.

5. Marketing emails and opt-out

We send marketing emails only to people who subscribe. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time. You can also email us at lesvoswoodcraft@gmail.com to be removed. Opting out of marketing does not stop transactional messages related to your orders (such as confirmations and shipping updates).

Gift Keeper reminders and scheduled gifts

If you use The Gift Keeper, we store your email plus the names, relationships, interests, and dates of the people you add, and, for scheduled gifts, recipients' names and shipping addresses. We use this only to send your reminders and deliver your gifts. It is never sold, is kept separate from our newsletter, and you can edit or delete it any time from your My Dates page or by emailing us.

6. Data retention

We keep your personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy. Order, payment, and tax records are retained as long as required for accounting and legal compliance. Account and marketing data is kept while your account is active or you remain subscribed. Analytics data is retained in aggregate for reporting. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

7. How we protect your information

We use reputable infrastructure and service providers and apply appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and restricted, role-based access to stored data. Card details are handled by PCI-compliant payment providers and never stored in full on our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your information.

8. Your privacy rights (including deletion)

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
• Request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal exceptions (for example, records we must keep for tax purposes).
• Object to or restrict certain processing, and opt out of marketing.

9. Children's privacy
