Olive wood is naturally dense, antibacterial and odor-resistant, so it holds up to daily kitchen use and only gets more beautiful with age. Every piece is one of a kind — the grain, color and feel of yours will be slightly different from any other we've ever made.
The story
Every coffee scoop begins as a branch of a wild olive tree on the island of Lesvos — the same island where, a few years ago, refugees from Syria, Afghanistan and beyond arrived after fleeing war and persecution. Today, those same artisans carve each scoop in our small workshop, one at a time, by hand. Buying this piece directly supports their work and the lives they're rebuilding through it.

Hand wash only, with mild soap and warm water — never soak or place in the dishwasher. Towel dry immediately and let the wood air-dry fully before storing. Every few months, rub a thin coat of food-safe mineral or olive oil into the wood to keep it nourished and looking beautiful for decades.
Each piece is carved one at a time from a single block of olive wood, so grain pattern, color and shape will vary slightly. That's part of what makes yours one of a kind.
